Welcome Back to YWAM Information Technology
Well, after a much too long hiatus we are finally working on the relaunch of YWAM IT. We've launched it on a new domain, with a new theme, and hopefully we will see some exciting things happen with the site over the next years.
I'm in the process right now of moving to the other side of world. When I get there I'm going to have the privilege of working with the YWAM International Chairman's Team, and I should be able to dedicate more of my time and effort into this site and other communication projects.
I'm pretty stoked to be honest, amongst all the insanity of moving.
I've got some of the old articles in my old RSS reader, so I'll be reposting those on the site once I've settled into my new role (we leave Australia in only 28 hours!).
In the mean time please register on the site using the registration link you can see on the right.
After you have registered contact us through the contact form if you are wanting to contribute articles to the site. I really wish that I could just import all the old authors, but unfortunately the old database was truly lost.
You can also subscribe to receive all the article that get written using the subscription form to the left. It includes a way to subscribe via e-mail, or by the RSS feed link.
I look forward to once again building this community together and looking at ways that we can best use technology to help fulfil what God has called us to as a mission...

What happened?
So what happened to the old site? That seemed to be a very random shutdown. Did you guys lose the old domain?
Lost Hosting and Domain
Unfortunately the company that the domain was hosted with and registered to wasn't very helpful when the user name and password were lost. They delayed so much in helping the people who set-up the hosting and domain that they both expired.
We are setting up this site for auto backups so that we should be better covered for mistakes like that in the future.
More info about auto backups...
Could you tell us a little more about how you have the site set up for auto backups? Are you using a Drupal module for that (like Backup and Migrate), or some other solution?

Welcome back YWAMIT
Hi Bill,
I was watching this site for a while to see when it comes online. Now I didn't check for a few days and there it is... Maybe I should have done that earlier, not checking I mean, haha. ;)
I'm happy that you managed to get it up again. Also I hope moving around the world will work out just fine. Honestly, our flat is so full at the moment I would be scared to even move across the street.
So, for now I hope that the word is spreading quickly so that we can get into (heated...?) discussion again. I'll spread the word around here and see what it'll do.
Blessings from Perth,
Steve

Somebody's terminal is dropping bits. I found a pile of them over in the corner.

I'm glad to finally be back, I just wish that we had been able to do it faster ...
